About the Board

The Board of Directors is comprised of individuals with professional knowledge, skills and experience in specific competencies and/or industries. Members are selected based on their past board and leadership roles as well as their aforementioned attributes. The representation on the Board, as well as within the applicable sub-committees, encompasses the legal and professional areas of practice that enable the I-CAB Foundation to offer competency assessments in several professional areas.

Board Function

The function of the Board of Directors is to ensure the integrity, applicability, and value of the I-CAB Foundation competency assessment for its affiliates. The Board is accountable to:

  • Direct the division of industries within a jurisdiction.
  • Advise as to the regulatory competencies within each industry.
  • Guide the interpretation of significant court cases within each
    jurisdiction.
  • Deliberate over the relevancy of assessment questions.
  • Allegations pertaining to ethical use violations (Ethical Use Policy)
  • Provide input as to the testing methodology and interpretation.

As the assessment process administered by the I‐CAB Foundation may be utilized by organizations as part of due diligence efforts, the identity of utilizing organizations, contributors, and participants are held confidentially and not discussed unless such information is otherwise publicly available.
